James Funk, CESMT
Born and raised in Kissimmee,
Fl., home of the Silver Spurs Rodeo, and known as the Cow Capital of Florida.
I was always around horses and became aware, at an early age, of their
majestic power.
It was at this time that
I realized the area's strong need for a certified and competent horse massage
therapist. Who better than myself? I studied Jack Meagher's
documentations and followed through with becoming certified by Equissage.
After several hundred horses with recurring problems, I realized
I needed to add chiropractic training to my program. Chiropractic
training has made a huge difference in my ability to correct skeletal mis-alignment.
Taking it another step further, I added acupressure to help soothe
the horse's aching muscles and mind.
My three-phase approach is
an on going development. With countless treatments since 1995,
I continue to improve "The Power of Touch".
My personal goal is to Restore
a horse's Balance as completely as possible.

In 1990, I purchased
a couple of Morgan horses and showed them in driving competition and ventured
on to actually train horses to the cart, building and selling carts and
buggies. Along that time frame, I also developed "Storybrook Farm",
a miniature horse-breeding and training farm.
